This is an exciting time in the field of spiritual care in health care. We’re proud to say that HealthCare Chaplaincy Network has been a vibrant force in the changes that have been unfolding. Whether related to clinical care, education, research, or the professionalism of the field, this momentum is carrying all of us into a new age of spiritual care—one that is quite promising for patients and their families, health care providers, and the health care system in general.
Let’s celebrate these successes together!
HealthCare Chaplaincy Network’s annual Wholeness of Life Gala is truly a gathering of friends. Whether you are a long-standing or new friend of HCCN, your participation tells us that you care deeply for the human spirit—the foundation of HCCN’s mission. It tells us that you understand the overall value of spiritual care as a vital component of whole-person care. And it tells us that you recognize that HCCN’s programs and services provide comfort and meaning to people at what is often the most challenging times of their lives.
At this year’s gathering, we will be honoring some incredible people who stand out in the community in general or the health care community specifically. We will be proudly recognizing Jay Badame, president and COO of Tishman Construction, An AECOM Company, New York, N.Y.; Wendell Scanterbury, director of pastoral care at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Philadelphia, Pa.; and Ray Schroeder, president and owner of Interim HealthCare of the Upstate South Carolina, Greenville, SC. We also will be acknowledging Patient Care Honorees from health care settings who, in various capacities, are committed to caring for the human spirit.
Let’s celebrate these honorees together!
As we join together, let’s remember all the people out there who are relying on us amidst suffering and grief, who are in need of our healing hands and hearts, and who will be the direct beneficiaries of your participation and support
We look forward to welcoming you on November 3.
